Most of the men's team is going, plus a few from the women's teams.

Re: Wheel re-grooving

I'm sure you can find places online that offer the service. I will point out though that the groves on wheels are a cosmetic bi-product of the manufacturing process only and serve no purpose whatsoever in terms of performance.

Re: Knee pads

Ha, they look nice! I worry about becoming some kind of S1 fanboy though. TSG Force III and Force IV are good. Definitely try before you buy as the sizing varies.

But I think being able to tweak my skat...

Re: Tell me about your plates?

I skate on Sure-Grip Magnesium Avengers and I like them, although the only thing I have to compare them to are the rubbish nylon plates that came on my first ever skates. I've got soft yellow cushions in them now and have loosened off the trucks. I don't feel unstable on them at speed, landing jumps...

Re: First skate purchase

I bought a pair of Anarchy Havocs new before I showed up at drop-in for the first time. They cost around £70.00 and back then I thought that was quite expensive for roller skates (how naive I was). I would not recommend anyone do that; generally speaking if you buy skates from new and they cost less...
