Tuff toe to protect your boots

Spotted this, worth a share. It's gloop that toughens and gives your boots a 'steelcap' (not a steel cap of course but a plastic cap). It's called Tuff Toe. https://youtu.be/wprfelYdlnk http://www.2n1skateshoppe.com/assets/images/riedell/Accessories/TuffToeApplication.jpg http://www.sincityskates.co...

Re: Tell me about your plates?

Here is some good press for the Avengers :) I really loved the plate! They got me adventurous, quick and super agile. They showed what was possible and were a lot of fun. I think they pushed my progress. Now I am trying to get the same action out of my current plates, need to push them more but beca...

Re: Tell me about your plates?

My Avenger to Arius experience (cut and pasted from fb) [in January 15] Getting more and more used to my Arius plates! Re: Padded shorts

My other ones are demon snow - they have bum cheek padding and I use them at skateparks. I used to use them at training too. Jampants and JP also have them. They were not too pricey. I can fit cargo shorts over them.

Re: Why don't my wheels screech?

It's the technique, not the wheels, although they help. Maybe your stops are so efficient that there's no traction. Have you tried going really fast? Because that's how I get the screech on difficult/sticky floors. And a lot of aggression. Attack the floor and make it cry. Sent from my GT-S5360 usin...

Re: Hockey Stops vs. Power Slides

you also need the right wheel/floor combo to do these stops You need the right wheel/floor combo to learn stops - then it's possible to take stops to all kinds of surfaces/wheels (if we stay within the usual floors and wheels we encounter). Applies to all wheel traction stops, plough, t-stop etc. I...
