It's not that subtle, they're a lot less bulky than the normal Pros. I almost felt like I wasn't wearing pads when I first changed over to them (which was really weird).

Re: First skate purchase

When I was looking I quickly decided that I shouldn't be looking at anything of a lower level than Riedell R3s or Sure Grip GT-50s. These were the skates in most of the fresh meat packages, so quite handy. I ordered online and got a pair too small first, oops, but got a free exchange. I've only rece...

Is this the interactive track that was mentioned last night? (ripped from another thread with Chick and Silva)

Yep, as I said, it's not a BRD fundraiser, so it's up to you who anything you raise goes to. If you have several people wanting to raise for the same cause you could put a team page together, but you don't have to do it.

Re: South Coast Roll 2014 - Sun 25th May

If this isn't an official BRD fundraiser, you can decide personally about who you raise funds and any proportions involved, so 100% to OTR wouldn't be a problem.

And don't know, it's the weekend before VQ go to Montpelier, so might be a bit much for me. Quite fancy it though :)

Re: Drop In welcome and introductions :)

Hi everybody, I'm Bruise, or Brew, or Wolverine, or Dave :) I was at the very first drop-in session, albeit off skates, way back in the mists of time. Well August 2012. I had never put on skates until later that month, but ended up joining up with the fresh meat intake a short while after. I've stil...

Re: Skates Wanted

I'm sure we could make some use of them, I doubt there will be much wheel changing going on.

And thanks very much considering them :)

Re: Skates Wanted

Just like to add that we're not necessarily after derby style skates here, pretty much any quads will do for people who want to give skating a try, as long as they're safe.

Re: I 'wheelie' need help!

Hmmm, I'm pretty much the same size as you and I'm mixing 94s and 96s and really wouldn't want to go any softer at Withywood.

Mixing 88s and 95s seems like quite a large difference though?

Of course, this is all a matter of personal preference.

Any chance of sharing some of these? My left is definitely weaker than my right and could do with some improvement, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Put me down for a large green mens please (don't know if I'll be able to make the game due to it being min-skills testing season at the moment).
