Does anyone want an old sofa bed?

We've got an old ikea sofa bed which Jimbo is threatening to take to the tip. It is very old, blue, and converts into a bed which is only comfy if you sleep on it with your head at the end furthest from the back. I bought it when I was a student, so it really is ancient. Free to anyone who wants to ...

Re: Wheel set ups

I wanted somewhere to record the conversation AJ and Master Blaster had with someone yesterday about wheels (which I eavesdropped on like a creepy stalker). Basically AJ said she always skates on all 4 wheels the same because she wants them all to react the same way. Master Blaster has her inside ed...

Re: Tell me about your plates?

I think you should make a trip to Double Threat! I spent ages talking to them about which plates etc to buy, because I was pretty clueless! I ended up with pilot falcon plates, which are 16 degree, and I'm getting on well with them.

Re: Wheel change - testing required!

I know they're not turbos, but I have a set of the new radar prestos which I love in 97 if you want to try them?

Re: Hockey Stops vs. Power Slides

Hey Tilly In terms of weight distribution I need to show you something that Reanimator did which really helped me. I can't really explain it here but it involves a karate chop ;-) x That would be amazing Delta. When I am free from my own personal hell of bat surveys and work stress, I'll be back at...

Re: Hockey Stops vs. Power Slides

I think I just really don't understand the weight distribution/what my body is supposed to be doing in hockey stops. I am certain if I could figure out how I am supposed to move, it would all work!

It makes me a bit scared my real name is on that. I don't usually tell people my real name. I feel like now you can all steal my superpowers.

Re: Skate Geeks Assemble!!

I think you'd cope with heat moulding them! You can do it with a hairdrier if you don't want to take the plates off and put them in the oven......I am sure one of us could lend you a hairdrier.

Also, and I don't know when it is going to be released, but bont are doing a new plate, called the infinity, it's carbon fibre (which appeals to me):

Re: Skate Geeks Assemble!!

I have a burning desire to open a skate shop with a demo facility - like you can borrow mountain bikes and try them out for the day. Of course, I don't have the money to do it, but should anyone win the lottery, then we should totally do it!

Helmet replacement

Not sure how helpful this is, but I suspect the technology is broadly similar, although the testing is likely more rigorous for riding - but this is my knowledge/experience from riding hats: 1. Never ever leave your helmet in direct sunlight - UV light destroys the polystyreney layer. I always store...

Re: Demon X D30 knee pads

Are these the ones with smart molecules in? If so then YES! Me, totally me! I want some boots for my horse made of this stuff but if you think the knee pads are expensive, the horse boots will make your eyes water at the price so I will test the efficacy on me first!!
