Re: Anybody thinking of purchasing a protech mouthguard?

I am thinking of getting a new mouthguard becasue mine has gone a bit manky, and have seen that protech is now sisu, and that they have a new version mouthguard out which is a bit thicker than the original (2.4mm rather than 1.6mm). I have found some good reviews, notably this one that claims that t...

Re: plate advice

Thanks for all the feedback guys, I have narrowed it down to either the revenge or the avenger (I can't really justify the expense of the reactor, and the revenge sounds like a good choice from your feedback). The avenger is cheaper (even the magnesium version) and I have read great reviews, but I a...

plate advice

I am upgrading my skates in the next few months, my 265’s are too wide which means my feet slide around and doing anything more than about 10 laps gives me really bad cramp, and the DynaPro plate they came with is way too heavy. I like riedell boots so am probably going to get the 495 or something s...

Re: Tropical Fish Tank - free to a good home!

Kai's dad has been considering getting a tank for a while (he always used to keep tropical fish and has been missing it), so if it is still available he would be delighted to take it off your hands :) . I am about to go on holiday for a week, but can get in touch when I am back to organise? Happy to...

Re: Anybody thinking of purchasing a protech mouthguard?

Great!

I like black and red, have had both before, maybe a slight preference for black though so will probably go black if that's ok?

I'll shop round for the cheapest, but they all seem to be around the £25 plus whatever P&P is.

Anybody thinking of purchasing a protech mouthguard?

If so, want to go halves on a 2 pack? The singles aren't very good value!

It looks like you can only order 2 of the same colour, I'm undecided on which colour I want so can be swayed there. Let me know and I'll put in an order.

Thanks!

Re: looking for grippy wheels with slide!

Oops, may have just accidently ordered some Jukes for next day delivery  ! So Goldie thanks for offering to lend me your wheels to try before I commited, but patience is a virtue I am sorely lacking in! If I really don't get on with them I will have to re-sell at a loss so watch this space if ...

Yep no problem, I will bring them tonight (with bearings left in as the set Goldie is lending me will have bearings too, should make things easier).

Re: looking for grippy wheels with slide!

Goldie you're a star, thank you :D

Anyone considering sticky wheels you are welcome to try my zebras at training tomorrow. I know I've been a bit critical of them but other girls in the league have them and seem happy (and James from skate britain raves about them), they're just not for me.

Re: looking for grippy wheels with slide!

Right, based on reading lots on the interweb and here I think I really want to try a Jukes slim combo, probably 88 and 93 (Hopefully the combo will help with the transition from grippy to hard, and if I get on with the Jukes but not the combo then I can get full sets of different hardness as and whe...

Re: looking for grippy wheels with slide!

God, this is not straight forward is it :D I think I need to be sensible, do some further research and try some wheels to see what works for me (although after reading various reviews I am tempted just to be impulsive and buy some atom juke slims in 93 or 95 when I get paid on Thursday and just get ...

Re: looking for grippy wheels with slide!

Thanks for all the advice guys! Delta as usual you talk lots of sense (I mean about it being so personal/based on skating style, not about my agility/steppyness ;) ) It seems combo/pusher thing might be the way to go! Ruby are you on 88's and 94's too? I have read lots of good review of Jukes. Terro...
