Re: First Derby Skates?

Good tips, Blizz! Not all leather boots need breaking in. I haven't heard of anyone needing a break-in period with Antiks. Talking of which, Green monster are going to launch their beginners Antiks, named Spider, I think. Edit: oh and about soft wheels, I'm the same as Blizz and I think harder wheel...

Re: Demon X D30 knee pads

What about 187 pro derby? I've only just bought some and skated twice in them, but I like them a lot. I have only Scabs to compare them to, but the padding is a lot more impressive than the Scabs and I really can't feel anything when I fall. They're also relatively small which makes cross-overs eas...

Re: First Derby Skates?

Hi MimiK, I'll try. Other people will probably add stuff. Sure-Grip GT-50 are the equivalent "serious-roller-derby-beginner" skates to the Riedell R3. The difference between those 2 is mostly that Sure-Grips are generally better for people with normal to wide feet and Riedells are generall...

Hi,
We're having a meeting on Tuesday evening, so you can have at least 3 days without checking your emails.

We will try and contact people shortly after.

Re: Offer of a lift to the Birmingham Bout (3rd Nov)

Happy birthday! :D

So Topper is asking players to be there at 11am, so erm... if no one minds me imposing a time, I suggest we leave at 9 to be there at 11... :?:

Re: 2nd Oct ADHD Grad scrim skaters and volunteers

:? I'm stuck in Brittany because of the strike... Sorry Jet, ADHD and Tuff... I have no idea when or how I'll make it back to Bristol. There are options but they're all expensive and as you all know, I live on no income right now. I'll try and book something satisfactory this weekend and I'll let yo...

Re: Padded shorts

Hi, my Mc David derby shorts are size S. They're the ones I use for bouts because they're slimmer and shorter and yes, I'm that vain  The Red total impact shorts offer better protection so I wear them each practice. I fell countless times of course and sonetimes, I fell very hard on it and neve...
