Interest in Drop in Derby

One of my colleagues was asking me all about derby the other day after seeing pictures on facebook.
I've asked her if she wants to come along to the first T-recs session on the 16th, she said yes, but only to watch and see what it'll be like before deciding if it's something she'd like to join in.

Will it be free for people just watching?

I'll ask on the others in the group, though can't see a problem with that. Main thing will be where she can safely watch from i guess, it's a small hall but i seem to remember a viewing gallery.

I have another question regarding kit.
How do BRD members feel about hiring their own kit out for 1 or 2 sessions?
I have another work mate interested in giving it a go, but she doesn't want to buy full kit until she's tried it out and decided if derby is for her.
She's a size 10, can anyone help?

Just to update this thread, there's is now a fair amount of hire kit at Drop In Derby. Some sizes are more popular than others so it's still first come, first served.
