I'm new to roller skating and derby - but I used to ice skate a bit.
I need either some skates size 4.5 (or 5)
Some wheels to replace the 1980's solid blocks that slide all over the arena. Because what they'll be replacing is soooooo poor, any will be great in comparison! Chick Dastardly suggests I need 86 or 88 Duro.
Anyone got any old wheels (or skates) that might suit?
I'm afraid I have nothing I can give at the moment, all my spares were donated to our kit box at our sports hall. I hope someone else can help, or failing that you can find some second hand bargains around: http://www.gumtree.com/for-sale/uk/roller+skates
I've got a couple of sets of wheels spare, one are the set that came with my R3s: Raydar Caymans. They're pretty crap if I'm honest, quite slippy (95a hardness), although they were ok for me for quite a while when i first started. The other set are a bit grippier, I *think* they're Sure-Grip Fugitive, 91a [edit: I lied, they're Radar Tuners, 93a], and I found them a lot better. You're welcome to try both if you like?
Tuff's got mixed up about which training sessions I was going to grab them off her but we forgot. I will bring some old wheels with me on Thurs and we can see if they're any better than the ones that are on your retro skates
Hey no worries! Sorry, this is a bit confusing! I have practice in withywood friday night, but there I can give my wheels to chick then to give to you the next time she sees you (which I'm guessing will be the following thursday).
