Looking for a new mouthguard - Protech

Hi,

Does anyone got a spare Protech mouthguard for sale, maybe the second one in a two-pack? I don't mind the colour. I'd pay shop price, as ideally I need it, like, now. My white one looks gross already.

Thanks!

I don't have another one, BUT I did notice they go gross really fast :? ! In fact I'm glad I got a white one: at least I can see where the gross is!

I clean mine after every practice with an old toothbrush, but it wasn't enough. What I do now is that I brush it and then I store it in a tiny airtight box (a food storage box) that I fill up with mouthwash and it just rests there until next time. Hopefully that'll solve it... :|

haha yeah, I do this too, and my mouthwash first turned it pale pink, then grey in the corners. Yuk! It's now tinted a gross shade and it looks like I've been scrapping it against my rubbish bin. I think I better get a different colour, as I'm not too careful about keeping mouthguards off the floor when training. :P

LOL at the thought of you scrapping your mouthguard on the bin :D
I think they are like toothbrushes, you should prob replace every 6 months or so. Maybe protech are just the kind of mouth guard that grows....you know

I've not had mine that long but I clean it with toothpaste everytime I use it and it's not looking too bad. I guess only time will tell though ;)

I know you're looking for something quicker than a new order, Bicha, but if you want to go halves on a 2-pack I'll split it with you! x

Soooo does anyone still wanna go halvsies on a protech mouth guard? Its basically gonna have to be pink or blue though... :P (Or at least not green, yellow or purple :P )

Let I know! ;)

This is a bit random but if anyone is still having issues with cleaning their mouthguard try denture cleaning tablets (Steradent or similar).

Before anyone asks, yes I do have all my own teeth! (My mum has a couple of teeth on a plate thing that she has to soak in this stuff so I nicked a couple of tablets off her to try it out!) Seems to work pretty well, though I should point out I've only tried it once so far.

:D

Also Del uses Listerine on her mouth guard (colourless) so it won't stain like others would. Its almost like washing your mouth with rubbing alcohol :)

Yes, I do. And it works.

Or should I say I did use Listerine. Now I switched to a 100% natural ingredients mouthwash and now my Protech is turning green/blue slowly because that's the colour of my new mouthwash. So don't you guys all go assuming that Listerine turns my Protech into a garden of lichens in my mouth. It ain't.

(although I do love lichens. On trees. Or rocks.)

Yes!! I turned my white mouthguard pink by putting it in with a pink denture tablet. It was quite a nice shade of pink though :D
