Demon X D30 knee pads

Postby White Riot » 25 Oct 2012, 12:38

Hey all,

I've been in touch with a UK supplier of the Demon X D30 knee pads (the ones that were recently reviewed in Inside Line magazine) and will be buying a pair for myself.

My knees are precious to me and my left knee in particular is giving me ongoing problems which may affect my skating over the next few months (more about that later/elsewhere) and I've had my eye on these for a while now.

Anyway they're not cheap (£79!) but Noble Custom the UK supplier have offered a discount for bulk orders, so if anyone else out there is tempted and happy to order in the next week or so then let me know and I'll see if they can reduce the cost. If not I'll be going ahead anyway but thought I'd ask on here first.

I might be interested I'm getting bored of my scabs and the Velcro is starting to go. I was also gonna buy some gaskets - would you need gaskets with these? If not I might aswell just get these instead. I'll let you know ASAP x

hmmmm I really don't need new knee pads but I really like the look of these. I could perhaps be persuaded...

Depending on the discount I would be interested - I'm in the market for new kneepads. x

Hello,

Just spoke to Miles at Noble Custom - if we can get an order together of between 5-10 sets then he'll do them for £70 a pair. Pretty decent, and I reckon I could convince him to do free delivery ;)

I won't order now until next Friday 1st November, so if you're interested let me know. If people want to pay me and then I can pay for it in one hit that's fine.

x

Soooo, does anyone want in on this?

I'm going to place an order this side of Chrimbo, ideally in the next week or so.

I panicked and ordered some different ones yesterday - I can't afford these even with the discount but I am looking forward to the review!!

Are these the ones with smart molecules in? If so then YES! Me, totally me! I want some boots for my horse made of this stuff but if you think the knee pads are expensive, the horse boots will make your eyes water at the price so I will test the efficacy on me first!!

Aye, those are the ones. Though to have them for £70 we need at least 5 orders. If not I can pass on Miles's info for individual orders :)

There is nothing wrong with my 187's except they are a bitt 'gappy' and I keep getting bruised knees and I just wanted shiny new derby stuff so I think I should get some Gaskets first and save my money :( sorry x

I've only just bought some and skated twice in them, but I like them a lot. I have only Scabs to compare them to, but the padding is a lot more impressive than the Scabs and I really can't feel anything when I fall. They're also relatively small which makes cross-overs easier.
Now, I can't say anything about durability, time will tell.

Del :)
