Protech mouthguards

Hi all,

Does anyone have one of the newer model of protech mouthguards that is thicker? My mouthguard needs replacing, I find the cheaper ones a bit difficult to mould (plus I chew it which is a bad habit) but I'm afraid of the tight fit of the protech that some people have reported (I wore braces as a kid and I have a bit of an irrational fear that I won't be able to get it out  )

Thanks for any help :)

I've had 2 protech (previous models) and the first one I moulded way too tight...so much it hurt and would make my gums bleed yuk...my new one I didn't mould so tightly and it fits much better and more comfortably.

My tip (and this sounds totally rude sorry :(): when the instructions say to suck on it... don't suck too much...

You can re-mould them, I re-moulded mine like 10 times... you can re-mould it any time.

I have the new, slightly thicker version. I much prefer it to the original - it fits much more comfortably (I re-moulded my old one loads so am confident that this is becasue of the new design, not becasue my old one was badly moulded). You are welcome to look at it, or touch it even if you catch me at the start of the session before it goes in my mouth  !

I had to trim both of mine to get a good fit - I find they are too long/wide? and make me gag.

Liz if you do decide to get one, would you like to go halvsies on a two pack? I'm not too fussed about the colour :)

Thanks for all the advice everyone :).

@Tuff, sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I totally forgot about it! If you still want to go halves that would be great! :)
