It's time for new knee pads.
Any thoughts on either Smith Scab Elite, Triple 8 KP Pro or 187 pro?
Thanks xxx

I'm a big fan of the 187 pro. Except the Velcro that holds the knee cap down wore out after about 8 months, so now I have to tape it down which is getting really annoying.

I have the 187 pros too and they are great. I wear them with scabs gaskets underneath cos there was a small gap between the pads and my knee, but with gaskets they are fine and comfy to land on. Only thing is they are quite bulky, I have size large and I struggled with crossovers to begin with cos they got in the way, I've got used to it now. I've seen the smaller sizes and they don't look as bulky so it might not be a problem.

I have the 187 Pro Derby (which are different from the 187 Pro in some subtle way which makes them more expensive ;) )

I really like mine, but try a load on, because like all the 187 derby range, they come up small.

I am also actually using the 'pro derby' version.

It's not that subtle, they're a lot less bulky than the normal Pros. I almost felt like I wasn't wearing pads when I first changed over to them (which was really weird).

I have just ordered some of the 187 pro derby after using scabs since fresh meat (pads are very boring and I don't like spending money on them). I can let you know how they compare.

Ha, they look nice! I worry about becoming some kind of S1 fanboy though. TSG Force III and Force IV are good. Definitely try before you buy as the sizing varies.
