EDIT - although that isn't free and so we'd have to either take it out of the budget or everyone would have to pay which makes it slightly more complicated than just turning up at a pub and sticking the ipod on over the speakers

Hiring John Sebastian would cost maybe £2 per head but drinks are cheap (pints £2.50 and house doubles £1.80, mixers 60p etc). Or we could think of the get together as our private party and make it a slightly bigger occasion to justify the hire fee for the club to pay. Let me know if you like this option - would need to check availability!

Or we can do it less formally and just turn up in a pub/bar somewhere.

I think for this one maybe we should just go with what's free (seeing as we have the Cube thing quite close to it) just so it's real easy for people to come along.

I just spoke to Charlie at the Cider House and the 19th is free and he's happy to give us the upstairs for free (if there's more than 20 of us) even though it is the Friday - good of him! He'll just need to know rough numbers so that he knows how much of the upstairs to close off for us.

Do we think there'll be more than 20 interested?
