I am thinking about running an informal Ice Skating training session for anyone who would like to join in.

The idea is to concentrate on skating technique, balance and muscle toning and of course, just having a bit of a skate around and enjoying ourselves!

It is not cheap so I will only do this every other week. The only suitable session at the Ice Rink is Monday evenings from 8.30 - 10.30pm (if this ends up clashing with the new free skate session we can think about moving it to a 'disco' session at the rink but for the time being, this one would be better as it is quieter).

The cost of the Skate session is £5.20 and Skate hire is £1.75.

Would anyone be interested in this?

Ok, the first one that I can make will be Monday the 23rd November at 8.30.

The reason being that we have a meeting this Monday at Gabi's and the following Monday I have Amelie. Of course, you can go down on the 15th if you like.

If we can get a group of 10 together I will try to work out a deal with the rink manager.

I think there will be a rink in city centre for Xmas too. Read from somewhere...? I'm interested in skating.

Haha... it's just bloody horrendous on a Saturday; shopping mall nightmares come true.

There's a temporary outdoor ice rink in Quakers Friar (next to Cabot Circus) from November 11th, thinks it's running till January. Looks properly cute :-)

Haha! Cribbs is a bit of a nightmare. I imagine the city centre rink will be quite tiny but I'd be up for a skating session at the indoor rink! except I won't be around for the first one.
