Bearings

So I'm gonna buy some new bearings - can anyone tell me what difference there is between normal Bones Reds and the Bones Super Reds? :|

http://bonesbearings.com/products/bearings/

Super REDS® are designed from the ground up to be the best bearing on the market at this price point. What Super REDS® are not is a REDS® bearing with just better super finishing (surface polishing). Super REDS® are a superior quality bearing, using higher quality steel races, better quality and grade balls, and a superior surface finish. The result is a bearing that is as fast as REDS® but quieter, smoother, and longer lasting. Super REDS® use a black shield and laser engraving to differentiate themselves from original REDS®.

Everyone must of course realise skates require 2 packs (16 bearings in total) :)

Cool - thanks Blizz! :)

Do any of you have any personal experience with them both too?

I do! I was on super reds until I accidentally ruined them by cleaning them with water and not drying them quickly enough. I replaced them with ordinary reds. I noticed absolutely no difference in performance!

I have normal Reds in my wheels. For the money I don't think you can beat them. They run really well - I love the fizzing noise that they make!!

The only problem that I have had (which was more than likely my own making) is that a couple of them have rusted. I think this is because I did not properly dry them when I cleaned them. Now I have refined my cleaning technique I haven't had any further problems.

I also have MOTO Purple bearings (Grn Mnstr) they are also pretty good, although more expensive than Reds, and I prefer the Reds to be honest.

The standard Bones Reds are made in China and the Super Reds apparently aren't that's the main difference in the price I think.

My mate Danny is a pro skateboarder and he recommended Bones Reds, they are ace and they spin forever:

Thanks all for your comments! Think I will just go with the regular Reds then.
