Female Participants needed for Study

Postby Thundercat Ho! » 18 Jun 2013, 19:02

Hello,

I just took part in a study for the University of Bristol and they really need as many participants as possible. The study that explores how family stress influences women’s health and well-being in order to find more targeted treatment.

The study involves three tasks which can be completed in your own time and submitted by post. Each task should take you no longer than 30 minutes to complete. You will receive £ 30 shopping voucher in total for taking part in the study.

I just did my first part, the next will be in 3 months and the one after in 6.

I found it reasonably easy and worth doing. Link to more info on the attached doc.

Ta,

TCH x

p.s. I got confused about the 'family' thing and thought I didn;t qualify as I have no children. Its for all women, regardless of what family you do/don't have.

Me too. The thing that immeasurably improves shopping is doing it on someone else's dollah ;)

I've formally signed up for this now! She's *really* nice and the study sounds very interesting. She doesn't yet have enough participants and asked me to spread the word - people have to approach her so she's reliant on good word-of-mouth. The shopping vouchers are obvs an excellent incentive but I also think this is an excellent thing to support!

Do we have to meet her? Would I be able to do it remotely?

You could email her and ask, Tess. It seems pretty tightly monitored though - I think she'd want to meet you in person at least once because you have to sign paperwork and have a meeting with her.

It's definitely worth asking, she needs as many participats as possible.
The sample collection was reasonably easy and not too gross! Jp said I looked like an old man chewing tobacco....
